Varun Dhawan not happy with the theatres still remaining shut in Maharashtra

Maharashtra is slowly and gradually opening up and going back to normalcy. In the past few days, the lockdown rules have eased out and several non-essential shops too are now allowed to be open. However the theatres and multiplexes remain shut. With theatres and multiplexes remaining shut, several celebrities are not happy with this update and Varun Dhawan is surely one of them. Last evening the actor shared a video on his Instagram story. The actor was passing the Bandra Linking Road and the junction saw heavy traffic. There was a huge crowd around as there are many shops and hawkers in that area. Varun Dhawan was amazed to see the crowd and the insane traffic and expressed his disappointment. “Everything open but theatres remain shut?” And the actor even added a sad-face emoji in his caption to the video. Now it looks like the young actor is not happy with this development.

Meanwhile Akshay Kumar’s film Bell Bottom which was released in theatres will not see its theatrical release in Maharashtra as the theatres and cinema halls are shut. A huge percentage of business at the box-office does come from Maharashtra state and with the theatres still remaining shut in the state, we wonder if other filmmakers will release their biggies on the big screen.

Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan has some big releases lined up. He has finished shooting for his creature horror-comedy Bhediya with Kriti Sanon and now he’s completing the next schedule of Jug Jugg Jeeyo with Kiara Advani.
