Anne with an E is an incredible coming-of-age series that premiered in March 2017. The third and final season aired in 2019, but in 2021, fans are still obsessed! In fact, many fans are still hoping for a fourth season.
The show focuses on a girl named Anne who struggles with abuse and other unimaginable difficulties while growing up an orphan in a broken system. Despite the premise that the show is somewhat dark, it is still filled with so many heartfelt moments and unforgettable storylines. One of the things that makes the show so special is the cast! Now that it’s over, this is what the cast has been up to.
Amybeth McNulty played the lead role of Anne and successfully portrayed the character in a full loving and endearing wayAccording to her Instagram, where she has more than 5.2 million followers, nowadays she enjoys life with her family, enjoys time with her friends and proves that she is the ultimate animal lover – she poses for photos with dogs, horses and even pigs. !
The nineteen-year-old actress has remained single – unless she’s dating someone privately and keeps those details out of the public eye. In 2020 she got a lead role in a mind-blowing movie called Maternal that’s categorized as a thriller. It’s nice to see McNulty branching out into a new genre, but fans still hope she will resume her role as Anne one day!
Lucas Jade Zumann
Lucas Jade Zumann took on Gilbert Blythe’s deeply thought-out and undeniably charming character, Anne’s love interest. In real life, he is in love with his YouTuber girlfriend, Shannon Sullivan, who has more than 216,000 subscribers. They have been together since 2018 and he even revealed that they were building a house together in 2019.
Aside from his love life, Zumann has spent quite a bit of time in the air – as a pilot! Learning to fly and operate aircraft is certainly one of his greatest passions. He’s also been busy playing his guitar and covering popular songs for his social media fans to tune in to.
Marilla Cuthbert’s character wasn’t necessarily too nice at first. Eventually, her harsh looks started to break down and her relationship with Anne made her someone easier to understand!
She was played by Geraldine James, a woman who is as nice as they come without anyone having to tear down a tough exterior. After Anne with an E ended, James played in the movie Downton Abbey (2019) and the TV series Back to life (2019).
Most exciting of all, she recently revealed she was cast in a theatrical production of The storm, the classic play written by William Shakespeare. The transition between television and theater acting is something a seasoned actress like her can fully handle.
Anne’s best friend on the show, Diana Barry, was played by a talented young actress named Dalila Bela. Between the show’s final episode and now, Bela has done a lot to keep herself busy.
She recently revealed that she practices social distancing in the midst of the current global pandemic. She posts a lot of photos with her close relatives, and she spends time learning new songs on her guitar. The self-proclaimed “bookworm” has even promoted some of her favorite books on Instagram and encouraged her followers to check them out.
Her greatest achievement since she was on the show is most likely the fact that she graduated from high school along with the 2020 graduation class.
Aymeric Jett Montaz
Who else could have played the witty and sarcastic character of Jerry Baynard and Aymeric Jett Montaz?
After the show ended, fans haven’t seen much of Montaz when it comes to movie and TV roles, but they’ve been able to keep up with him on social media where he posts about his loved ones, his love of nature, and how much he misses out on to be part of the cast of Anne with an ESome of the throwback photos he’s posted are absolutely adorable!
Dalmar Abuzeid was cast as Sebastian Lacroix, a character known for being resilient, easy going and generally fun to be around. After the show ended, he landed a role in an athletic-centered movie called Goalkeeper (2019).
He also starred in a horror movie called Come play and called a political drama The Comey rule in 2020. Abuzeid’s latest project, called a movie Faith Heist, will appear on BounceTV in early April 2021.
If there is another epic season of it Anne with an E really isn’t in the cards, it’s incredible to see the cast still doing amazing things in front of the cameras for their brand new roles, as well as behind the scenes in each of their personal lives. Here’s to hold on hope a fourth season will eventually become our reality so that we can see these talented actors come together again on the same set.
