V.Irai Anbu is an Indian bureaucrat from the cadre of 1987 batch, who currently works as State’s Additional Chief Secretary / Director, Management Center and Training chief Anna in the Tamil Nadu government. He was born on September 16, 1963 in the village of Kattoor in the Salem district. His elder brother Thiruppugazh is also an Indian Civil Servant who is popular for the significant works and management in the Gujarat earthquake.
